About me: The Beginning
Welcome! I’m Osman Chidi Akinyera, and this is where I share my deep dives into the technologies that power modern infrastructure, focusing primarily on IT Infrastructure, cloud, advanced networking (Cisco, Huawei others), information security, and automation.
I currently work for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) as Team Lead, Network and Security. I’m a self-professed nerd who is genuinely fascinated by how things work—and how to make them work better. My commitment to constantly reading documentation, labbing complex scenarios, and exploring the CLI is the driving force behind the content here.
My goal is to provide clear, actionable insights into complex system and network designs, helping you move past the abstract and get your hands dirty with real-world, scalable solutions.

Future Milestones:
My current focus is preparation for the CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure exam by Q3 2026, followed by pursuing the CCDE (Cisco Certified Design Expert) and the ISSMP (Information Systems Security Management Professional) specialization.
My professional journey is centered around becoming a Principal Security Engineer as well as a Network Solution Architect/Specialist, a path fueled by a deep commitment to ongoing certification and continuous learning. While my professional life is dedicated to routers, firewalls, and code, I believe the best engineers are well-rounded, and slightly obsessive about other things.
Curious & Creative Life:
I’m inherently an introvert and an agnostic, but I thrive on good conversation and enjoy engaging with people who communicate well. My interests stretch far beyond tech:
Geopolitics: I love engaging in geopolitical conversations that explore complex global dynamics.
Literature: My favorite books include Sons and Lovers, The English Patient, and the works of Sherlock Holmes.
Travel (The Idea): I love the idea of traveling, though I often change my mind at the last minute! I promise to try and go on a real holiday next year.
Gamer Alias & Origin:
My primary alias, ossniper, comes from my love for classic video games, particularly the Metal Gear Solid series. The connection is direct: my childhood nicknames were often drawn from game heroes, like GodofWar, DevilMayCry, and SnakeEater. I genuinely miss the era of the PS2—it was an amazing time.
